About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechatronics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment, designing solutions for complex problems, and mentoring other technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preventive-maintenance program for production equipment
  • Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components
  • Wire power supplies, cables, and connections between machines
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve reliability
  • Become proficient across all production-line areas
  • Clean, remove, and reinstall machine parts
  • Train management and team members on technical topics
  • Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts
  • Develop internal SOPs and equipment manuals/guides

Requirements

  • Vocational or community-college degree in electrical, mechanical, or equivalent education plus four years of experience (or equivalent combination)
  • PC competency: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with robotic teaching pendants and programmable controllers
  • Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing lines
  • Proficiency testing and troubleshooting inside electrical control cabinets
  • Experience with low-voltage systems: sensors, motors, servos, drives, switches, relays
  • Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic equipment (e.g., ammeters)
  • Experience with electrical/electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial standards
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Ability to use hand tools

Physical requirements

  • Color vision to discern color-coded wiring
  • Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to access and navigate all areas of the production facility

Pay

$33.00 – $45.00/hour, based on experience

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
