Mechanical Tech V

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician V to join their fast-paced Engineering and Test team in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will support a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation within an Engineering Lab.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to fabricate, assemble, and test mechanical equipment and systems
• Read and understand written and verbal instructions from engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders
• Use various tools and equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to fabricate and assemble mechanical components
• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that equipment and systems meet specifications and are functioning properly
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems as needed
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and maintenance activities
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• The ability to obtain a DoD Security clearance is required
• 15+ years experience with HS Diploma
• 5+ years with AA in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent
• Proficient using CREO/Pro-Engineer software
• Proficient with multi-axis CNC milling machines and lathes
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with machine shop environment
• Experience in the design and development of specialized tooling and fixtures

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $75,998 - $121,597. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
