Mechanical Tech II Weekend Shift

This position supports our Weekend Night Shift working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3PM to 3AM. You will work 36 hours and be paid for 40 hours plus earn a 15% pay premium.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble various products such as electronic boards, including adding epoxy.
  • Operate bonding equipment as required.
  • Read and interpret detailed instructions to ensure products are created efficiently and correctly.
  • Complete training courses during first or second shift until certified by the engineering department to work independently on the weekend shift.
  • Interpret assembly instructions and listen to directions from supervisors.
  • Determine if all parts are present and read/interpret blueprints, sketches, and parts lists.
  • Assemble tools and materials, position parts and subassemblies.
  • Interpret measurements, verify specifications, and assemble components.
  • Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly, understand measurements and dimensions using calipers.
  • Resolve assembly and production issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed after training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report errors in the product line or system using software (Solumina, Tip-QA, PLM, or Paperless).
  • Complete quality products and update their status in the system.
  • Place orders for supplies as needed if parts are short or require replacement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent skills.
  • Experience assembling electronic boards with a focus on high-quality standards.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Understanding of measurements, dimensions, and use of calipers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly or production issues.
  • Familiarity with software such as Solumina, Tip-QA, PLM, or Paperless.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $47,614 - $76,181. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
