About the role
This Mechanical Engineering Team Leader will build and lead a multi-discipline engineering team supporting architectural clients in the greater Denver market. Responsibilities include developing regional architectural firms as Garver and Buildings Team clients, providing engineering support for architectural clients, and managing projects.
Responsibilities
- Building and leading a multi-discipline engineering team that supports architectural clients.
- Developing regional architectural firms as Garver and Buildings Team clients.
- Providing engineering support for architectural clients particularly structural, mechanical, and electrical.
- Managing projects and providing discipline specific design.
- Coordination with other internal teams across Garver’s regional footprint.
- Travel will be required depending on client and project location.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus from an ABET-accredited university or college.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- 7 to 15 years of building design and construction industry experience.
- Actively engaged with architectural clients.
- Experience overseeing designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects.
- Techically competent in building system designs.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Skills
- Knowledge of building components and systems.
- Knowledge of engineering and sustainability principles.
- Utilizing CAD and BIM design software to produce construction drawings.
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Time management and product quality.
- Able to keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects.
- Develop and follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans.
- Continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as the overall needs of the team.
