Responsibilities
- Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in an industrial environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on all systems.
- Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, refrigeration units, and industrial plumbing systems.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Work with mechanical and electrical components.
- Read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Use hand and power tools specific to the plumbing trade.
- Follow building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
- Complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- HVAC/EPA certifications beneficial.
- 2+ years' experience as a journeyman plumber.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
- Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper piping.
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.
