Mechanical Senior Designer

Responsibilities

• Assigns and monitors design activities
• Create conceptual designs during project development
• Produce two-dimensional and three-dimensional construction drawings
• Check the work and assist in the training of less experienced drafting and design personnel
• Ensure all drawings are in accordance with Bi-Con Engineering and client specifications and standards
• Exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity to resolve complex technical issues
• Review and approve timecards
• Aid in the interview process for new hires

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university
• 10+ years of experience using AutoCAD and CADWorx software for Oil and Gas Mechanical design
• Knowledge of Mechanical materials and equipment commonly used in Oil and Gas facilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word
