About the role
A top national mechanical contractor is expanding its leadership team and seeking a Project Executive to oversee large‑scale mechanical scopes on long‑duration projects across the U.S. This role provides executive oversight, financial leadership, and strategic direction to project teams delivering complex mechanical systems for mission‑critical, healthcare, industrial, and advanced commercial facilities. Projects typically range from $100M to $500M+ in mechanical value. Assignments run 2–3 years, with full corporate-supported travel packages.
What You'll Lead
- Safety Leadership: Champion a proactive safety culture across all project teams. Participate in jobsite walks, planning sessions, and compliance reviews.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee project planning, documentation, installation strategy, and execution. Guide PMs and field leaders through scheduling, scope management, and project delivery. Support preconstruction: design coordination, estimating reviews, and client alignment.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor PMs, Sr PMs, Superintendents, and emerging leaders. Build project teams, assist in hiring, and drive professional development. Collaborate with senior leadership on workforce planning and long-term team strategy.
- Financial Accountability: Own the financial performance of assigned projects. Drive forecasting, risk management, labor strategy, and cost control. Coach teams through monthly financial reviews and commercial negotiations.
- Client Relationships & Growth: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key owners and builders. Support strategic pursuits, proposal development, and long-term client partnerships.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of large commercial, Data Center, and/or industrial construction experience
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge (HVAC, hydronics, piping, process)
- History of leading Mechanical projects of $100-300M with Data Center experience desired
- Skilled in contract negotiation, team leadership, and customer engagement
- Ability to travel and lead long-term national assignments

Pay
$225,000 - $275,000 per year
