Mechanical Project Engineer I

Role Overview The Project Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, modeling, and drafting material handling equipment for airport baggage systems. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, evaluate manufacturing feasibility, estimate costs, and create specifications for equipment procurement and operation. The role involves developing 3D models and layouts using CAD software, supporting engineering processes, and ensuring designs are ready for manufacturing and assembly. Key Responsibilities Provide technical drafting and design support for engineering projects.Assist in creating equipment proposals and evaluating system feasibility.Design components and layouts optimizing for cost, functionality, and manufacturability.Document designs, prepare specifications, and collaborate with procurement.Support process development and participate in client meetings and site visits. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 2-4 years of experience.Experience in manufacturing, project engineering, and automated machinery design.Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.Strong technical writing, mechanical component design, and drafting skills.Understanding of manufacturing processes, controls, and electrical systems (preferred).Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.Willingness to travel up to 20% for project site visits.
