Mechanical Project Engineer

Responsibilities
- Mentorship of junior staff.
- Effectively fosters relationships with team members and clients, as well as industry stakeholders and regulators.
- Participates in business development activities, such as; marketing, developing project win strategies, and preparing technical data for proposals and interviews.
- Ensure quality management with implementation of quality control standards.
- Creation and management of the Mechanical scope of work for the project.
- Oversee development of detailed design drawings.
- Sizing, selection and layout of mechanical equipment.
- Develop project specifications to meet the performance requirements.
- Client interaction and coordination.
- Develop and maintain progress, quality control, schedule, staffing planning and coordination with project management including regular reporting.
- Coordination of communications between the project team, the engineering and design team members to assure quality of work, and that consistent technical content drawing/design packages are maintained throughout a project.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering in an ABET-accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical design of facilities.
- Currently a licensed professional engineer in New Mexico or within a year of obtaining a New Mexico license.
- Experience with MEP software such as Revit MEP is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
- Experience in the preparation of work plans, budgets and project schedules is highly desired.
Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC and Plumbing design is required.
Skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in MEP software such as Revit MEP.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Experience in preparing work plans, budgets, and project schedules.
Benefits
Annual Salary Range: $84,000 - $167,000+ (based on experience)
