About the role
Ballinger, an architecture and engineering firm, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia, PA. The role is based at our offices, working three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Mentor staff within and across disciplines in Mechanical Engineering
- Interface and lead coordination with all disciplines during design/coordination phases
- Interface with clients in design presentations related to their discipline of registration
- Perform HVAC/Mechanical engineering tasks, maintaining work plans and monitoring progress
- Write work plans and review schedules with all disciplines
- Produce basis of design reports, systems matrices, and preliminary design reports
- Develop knowledge of Ballinger’s project types through engagement with project teams and leadership
- Travel as project requirements dictate for surveys and field/site visits during construction
Requirements
- BS, BEng, or BAE degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Postgraduate degree preferred
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- PE Registration required

- Foundational knowledge of construction administration process and procedural knowledge

- Proficient interpersonal skills and coordination efforts
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities
- Coordination skills, including communication, organization, time management, and adaptability
- CAD & Revit proficiency
- Excel, Word, and analysis software proficiency
- Knowledge of discipline’s drawing and graphic standards
