Mechanical Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of developing key maintenance programs from conception through final implementation.
• Work with key maintenance and engineering personnel to support daily, monthly scheduled maintenance outages and annual outages jobs within the field of electrical maintenance and engineering.
• Crossover activities to the mechanical maintenance programs as required to deliver complete programs for all types of equipment.
• Work with mechanical maintenance/engineering and operations personnel to complete electrical or mechanical maintenance projects and programs including necessary training, stocking of spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, drawing creation and updates, etc.
• Support the Mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.
• Manage equipment tracking and rebuild programs.
• Utilize predictive & preventative maintenance programs to identify and correct equipment issues.
• Input and update equipment information and documentation.
• Develop equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Manage area equipment PM and maintenance programs.
• Manage assigned work for monthly and annual outages.
• Look for opportunities to solve issues, reduce cost, and improve planning performance.
• Solve problems utilizing the mill’s RCFA program.
• Effectively manage contractors for performing jobs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Pulp & Paper industry experience preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Pulp & Paper industry practices and standards

Benefits

• Starting salary range for position: $85,000-$90,000
• Annual bonus based upon individual contribution and overall Company performance
• Paid vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year

Pay
