MECHANICAL/PIPING ENGINEER (Material Handling) – CHARLOTTE

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a senior engineer to support project execution
• Perform calculations and design mechanical equipment and piping systems, including:
• Conveyors
• Chutes, hoppers, bins, and tanks
• Dust collection systems
• Process and mechanical equipment
• Industrial piping systems and layouts
• Develop piping layouts, routing, and support designs in coordination with other disciplines
• Prepare specifications and assist with analysis and procurement of materials, piping, and equipment
• Maintain and update equipment and line lists
• Cookordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments to meet project goals

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience (mechanical and/or piping)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software (Inventor, Revit, or similar)
• Experience with piping design, layouts, and isometrics preferred
• Able to travel domestically and internationally to support project sites and other M3 offices
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Able to manage schedules and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision
• Professional communication skills with clients and colleagues
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in material handling and industrial piping systems
• Experience serving as a discipline lead on multidisciplinary design and construction projects
