This role works a rotating shift schedule between day and night shift. The hours are 8-8 and the schedule is 3 on, 3 off (3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 3 off, 3 days on, 3 off, etc.). Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner and working closely with area operators to resolve maintenance-related issues
• Take your safety and the safety of your co-workers as the primary consideration when performing work
• Investigate the root cause of equipment failure and make recommendations for long-term fix
• Lead the troubleshooting and proper documentation (SAP Notifications) of all maintenance-related items
• Complete assigned work orders or other PM/PD activities based on established priority and confirm completed work timely
• Be aware of maintenance issues throughout the mill or assigned area
• Collaborate with operational partners, departmental peers, and direct supervisors

Requirements

• Millwright with verifiable industrial experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years industrial mechanic experience required (including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes)
• Welding and Fabrication skills
• Experience in reliability techniques & knowledge of lubrication principles
• Hydraulic system aptitude and system maintenance best practices
• Ability to perform precision maintenance practices to improve asset reliability (i.e. read and follow instructions, ability to measure bearing and shaft fits, use of torque wrench, use of V-belt tension meter, laser alignment)
• Understand and read hydraulic and mechanical drawings
• Strong, demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to understand and execute preventative maintenance plans

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery
• Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment
• Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects
• Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures

Pay

Starting hourly rate based on experience between $29.54 to $30.91
