About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Mason & Hanger team. The intern will assist engineers in laying out HVAC systems in our CAD/BIM platforms, typically Revit, provide assistance with engineering calculations, and support other project tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations in support of the design and documentation of heating, ventilating, and air‑conditioning (HVAC) systems under direct supervision.
• Develop construction documents utilizing CAD/BIM platforms such as Revit.
• Support engineers on tasks as needed on actual ongoing projects.

Skills

• Self‑motivated
• Strong communication proficiency

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET‑accredited college studying mechanical engineering
• Great attitude and team‑player mindset
• Successful completion of drug and background screening process

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing documents, viewing a computer, reading, inspecting objects, and operating machinery
• Hearing ability
• Capacity to think, concentrate, and focus for long periods
• Ability to read complex documents in English
• Capacity to reason and make sound decisions
• Ability to write complex documents in English
• Capacity to express thoughts orally
• Ability to regularly perform all job functions at the company’s office or worksite

Pay

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $17.20 – $19.20 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the final offer may vary based on experience, geographic location, and other factors.
