Mechanical Inspector

About the role

SGS, the world's leading Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) company, is seeking experienced Mechanical Inspectors to support manufacturing, inspection, and quality assurance activities for API 5L Line Pipe projects in Greece.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of API 5L line pipes during production and final inspection.
• Verify compliance with API 5L, ASTM, ASME, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Review MTCs, material traceability records, and quality documentation.
• Witness mechanical testing, chemical analysis, hydrostatic testing, and NDT activities.
• Inspect pipe dimensions, bevels, surface condition, marking, and traceability.
• Raise NCRs for non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.

Requirements

• Proven experience in API 5L Line Pipe Inspection is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of inspection experience in pipe manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or related industries.
