Job Summary
Client is seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation and Heavy Industrial Projects in either Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices.
Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical (HVAC) project activities from conception to construction including onsite support.
- Support projects including simple and combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States.
- Design of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing systems serving heavy commercial, industrial, and power industries.
- Develop procurement specifications, prepare engineering drawings such as piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID), airflow diagrams, plumbing riser diagrams, equipment plan, piping orthographic and ductwork layout drawings.
- Exercise sound engineering judgment in assessing problem situations or complex issues, review completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and design criteria.
Key Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university, eight years of experience with the design of building services (HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection) systems serving powerplants, heavy industrial and commercial applications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ten years of experience with building services (HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection) systems serving the power industry. Must be a licensed professional engineer (PE).
Location
Any new hire will be required to be within commuting distance of either the Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices.
