Job Description
This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems.
The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II.

The selected candidate will support a program in the Santa Barbara area. Candidates must be willing to travel to and work at austere remote locations to support Customer requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and receive applicable vaccinations.
Must pass an overseas physical and meet customer medical requirements.
This candidate will be an integral member of the operations and maintenance team. Support the on-site Customer and work to deploy, prepare, maintain and re-deploy program assets. Accomplish fault analysis and resolution of mechanical system and subsystem discrepancies. Attend debriefings to aid in the rapid identification of system issues and detect emerging issues. Document operational / maintenance problems, and communicate within program channels to ensure the company can resolve technical issues and identify failure trends. Will be required to operate and assist in the service and maintenance of support equipment.
Must have a TS clearance investigated in the last 5 years

- Experience with aircraft shop practices, shop safety, tools and test equipment
- Cost, Schedule and Quality management supporting MRO activities
- Technical report writing
- Experience operating / maintaining support equipment
- Willingness to travel, work any shift, weekends and holidays to meet customer requirements
- FAA A&P License
