About the role
Lightspeed Tech Center is a R&D department under Lightspeed Studios responsible for developing PUBG Mobile and other high-quality games. Our team focuses on researching, exploring, and discovering innovative technologies to provide technical services for all games throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Participate in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Hardware Integration: Assist in the assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical hardware with embedded systems and electronic components.
- Prototyping & Fabrication: Build and iterate on physical prototypes using methods such as 3D printing, machining, and other fabrication techniques.
- System Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate system performance and reliability.
- Software Interaction: Utilize C++ skills for tasks related to system control, data acquisition, or interfacing with mechanical hardware.
- Linux Environment: Operate within a Linux development environment for specific project tasks.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and test reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers (mechanical, electrical, software) to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, materials science, and thermodynamics.
- Proficient in C++ programming.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and command-line interface.
- Experience with embedded systems (e.g., microcontrollers, sensors, actuators).
- Demonstrable hardware building skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360).
- Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32).
- Knowledge of common communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).

Pay
The expected base pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $80,168.40 to $124,800.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
