Who You Are

• Studying mechanical engineering in a bachelor’s degree program.
• Interest in HVAC system design, analysis, and engineering.
• Open to pre‑engineering freshman/sophomore or junior/senior levels.
• Passionate about learning in a real‑world environment.
• Eager to gain hands‑on experience in an office setting.
• Highly motivated to apply classroom knowledge to real‑world client solutions.
• Prior internship experience is a plus but not required.
• Friendly, people‑person with a sense of humor; enjoys connecting with others.
• Will work side‑by‑side with Primera’s power engineering experts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field surveys documenting existing conditions.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, materials lists, details, and exhibits.
• Work on a variety of projects from our Chicago office, mentored by experts.
• Take responsibility for tasks and communicate project activities with the team.
• Apply classroom learning to real‑world engineering challenges.

Pay

$24‑$27 per hour
