Mechanical Engineering Co-Op (Spring-Summer 2027)
About the role
maybe. Also Responsibilities, Qualifications (Key Qualifications), Preferred Qualifications, Benefits (Compensation Data includes salary range and housing stipend), Schedule (flexible work schedules, hybrid arrangement). Also maybe "Preparing You for Career Success" could be Benefits? But we can treat as Benefits? Actually "Preparing You for Career Success" is more like program description; could be under Benefits or maybe a separate section like "Program Highlights". But we should only include sections when there is real specific content. We have content for: About the role (job summary), Responsibilities, Key Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications, Compensation (Pay), Schedule (flexible work schedules, hybrid arrangement), Benefits (maybe housing stipend is part of compensation; also maybe "Employee Resource Groups", networking events, philanthropic involvement, vaccinations & safety protocols? Those are benefits/perks). We could combine benefits into a Benefits section. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. Remove boilerplate like EEO, equal opportunity, legal statements, vaccinations & safety protocols? That is maybe not boilerplate but could be considered legal; but it's about vaccinations & safety protocols, which is specific. Might keep as part of Benefits? However it's more like requirement. Could be omitted as boilerplate? The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. Vaccinations & safety protocols might be considered legal/health requirement; but it's specific to job. Might keep? Safer to keep as part of Benefits or a separate section like "Requirements"? But we already have qualifications. Could include under "Requirements" maybe. However we have Key Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. Vaccinations & safety protocols is a condition of employment; could be under Requirements. But we might just include it in a short paragraph under Requirements? The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include that info somewhere. Could add a section "Requirements" after Qualifications? But we already have Key Qualifications (which are requirements). Could add a subsection? Better to add a separate section "Requirements" for things like citizenship, security clearance, vaccinations. But we already have "Must be a sole US Citizen with ability to obtain government security clearance" under Key Qualifications. So that is covered. Vaccinations & safety protocols is separate; could be under a section "Requirements" or "Additional Requirements". We'll add a section "Requirements" after Qualifications? But we might just include it under Key Qualifications as an extra bullet? It is not listed there; we could add a bullet under Key Qualifications? But we must not invent content; we can add a bullet that matches the text. That's okay: we can include it as part of Key Qualifications list. However the instruction: Use- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we can have a list for Key Qualifications, and we can add the vaccination requirement as an item. That preserves info.
Similarly, "Employee Resource Groups that help cultivate an inclusive and welcoming community", "Social and professional networking events with Battelle Senior Leadership and your colleagues", "Opportunities for philanthropic involvement to give back and make an impact in the community" are benefits/perks. We'll include those under Benefits.
Now schedule: "Flexible work schedules: Most teams follow a flexible, compressed work schedule that allows for every other Friday offEnjoy enhanced work flexibility, including a hybrid arrangement: You have options for where and when you work. Our Together with Flexibility model allows you to work 60% in-office and 40% remote, with Monday and Tuesday as common in-office days, dependent on team and position needs." We'll put under Schedule.
Pay: "Compensation Data The salary range for this role is $20.00 – $40.00 per hour, in addition to a $2,000 housing stipend for students relocating more than 50 miles from home and university. Internship pay is benchmarked against national averages taking into consideration a student's major and year in school." We'll put under Pay.

Could incorporate that into Benefits as a bullet: "Opportunities to increase experience both on a team and as an independent contributor; 98% of interns felt better prepared to enter workforce; 100% felt respected." That's from Preparing You for Career Success. We'll include.
