About the role
We are seeking Mechanical Engineering students with a passion for building design to join our cooperative education program. Jordan & Skala Engineers offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in the consulting engineering field alongside professionals.
Responsibilities
- Become acclimated to the consulting engineering workplace, legal codes, design concepts, and improve skills in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Work alongside professionals in your degree field and interdisciplinary teams.
- Network with other co-op students and industry leaders, attend lunch and learns, and participate in company events.
- Continue to become familiar with codes and calculations and work more independently on projects in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Implement knowledge from previous semesters to review shop drawing submittals, design layouts, and complete calculations.
- Ask questions and learn from professionals during each semester.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Strong interest in building design and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
