Mechanical Engineering Analyst, MEP

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, hospitality, municipal, and federal projects
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, ventilation analysis, and assist with system sizing and selection
  • Develop Revit/BIM models and construction documents, including ductwork and piping layouts
  • Absorb technical specifications and energy compliance documentation (e.g., COMcheck)
  • Cook with internal disciplines and support collaboration with architects, contractors, and project teams
  • Conduct field investigations and site visits to document existing conditions and support design development
  • Assist with construction administration tasks such as submittal reviews and responding to RFIs
  • Contribute to project delivery by completing assigned tasks with increasing independence and accountability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (ABET accredited)
  • 2+ years of relevant mechanical/HVAC experience
  • EIT/EI certification or ability to obtain
  • Working knowledge of: HVAC systems (load calculations, ductwork, basic system design), Plumbing systems (basic layouts and coordination)
  • Experience with Revit or BIM-based design tools
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in design and project coordination
  • Experience supporting multiple project types, including commercial, hospitality, municipal, and/or federal sectors
  • Demonstrated growth toward independent task execution and technical problem-solving
