Mechanical Engineer with Security Clearance

About the role

This position is for a mechanical design engineer. The selected candidate will support the Flight Test Instrumentation team working the F-35 lines of business. The candidate will be required to perform mechanical and harness routing design activities for the installation of flight test equipment and data system components.

Responsibilities

• Releasing engineering drawings
• Creating work instructions
• Supporting airworthiness documentation
• Monitoring fabrication activities
• Supporting aircraft modification

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, or related discipline
• 3–5 years of CATIA V5 experience
• 3–5 years of 2D/3D mechanical design experience in an aerospace environment
• Previous experience with instrumentation (flight or ground) preferred
• Previous experience with the F-35 program-specific tools and processes
