Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing processes for large scale manufacturing, planning and testing production methods, and overseeing facility operations. This role involves a combination of research, data analysis, and hands-on work to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the production of chemical products.

Responsibilities

  • Research and Development

    • Conduct experiments and analyze data
    • Develop new products or improve existing ones
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Process Design and Optimization

  • Design and plan production processes
  • Optimize processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
    • Implement and maintain safety procedures
    • Monitor and mitigate potential environmental impacts
  • Quality Control and Assurance

    • Develop and implement quality control procedures
    • Conduct quality assurance testing
    • Ensure product consistency and quality standards are met
  • Project Management

    • Plan and coordinate projects from conception to completion
    • Manage timelines and budgets
    • Communicate with stakeholders and provide project updates
  • Technical Support

    • Provide technical support to colleagues and clients
    • Troubleshoot technical issues
    • Train and educate team members on new processes or products
  • Documentation and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records and documentation
    • Prepare reports on production processes and results
    • Present findings and recommendations to management or clients

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software.
    • Knowledge of chemical process engineering and safety regulations.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
