About the role

Overseeing and executing office and field engineering projects which can include major design and construction projects from clients based in Canada, the US, and the globe
Preparing detailed plans, calculations, and specifications related to a wide variety of engineering projects
Preparing proposals, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents for mechanical and multidiscipline engineering projects
Assist in field surveys as required throughout the project life cycle
Preparing detailed engineering reports and providing written and oral updates regarding the progress and completion of engineering projects
Perform QA/QC reviews throughout the design development process
Working directly with clients to develop project options and alternatives, provide engineering guidance for project planning and development, field investigations, and critical issues
Collaborating with multi-discipline groups within KOA to develop and deliver integrated projects

Requirements

BS in Mechanical Engineering
Professional Engineering License or in process to obtain
2-10 years of postgraduate experience in Mechanical and/or Industrial engineering design
Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
Ability to collaborate with team members and clients in a multi-disciplined environment
Relevant project experience in heavy industrial projects such as manufacturing, mining, material handling, power generation, and/or oil & gas
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
