Mechanical Engineer - Los Angels & San Diego

About the role

A growing employee-owned engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its collaborative team in either the Los Angeles Metro Area or San Diego. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, institutional, healthcare, and educational projects while partnering closely with experienced engineers and project managers. The ideal candidate will have experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems and is looking for a firm that provides strong mentorship, career growth, and exposure to projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC and mechanical system designs for new construction and renovation projects.
• Develop construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and assist with equipment selection and system sizing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing HVAC and building systems.
• PE License Required.
• Understanding of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping systems, and construction document development.
