Responsibilities
- Provides guidance and expertise in mechanical engineering to design complex mechanical equipment and systems.
- Evaluates theoretical principles involved and applies advanced analytical and investigative methods and techniques.
- Determines manpower and material requirements for completing assigned tasks within estimated timeframes.
- Supervises and coordinates technicians in the fabrication and installation of complex mechanical and related electronic equipment and systems.
- Directs field operation and maintenance activities of mechanical equipment/systems installations.
- Evaluates operational systems and designs modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
- Develops new applications requiring originality and ingenuity, and complex test procedures for equipment and systems significantly different from existing designs.
- Plans, organizes, and conducts the development of each assignment; coordinates manpower and activities of groups involved in various stages of overall programs to ensure effective integration.
- Reviews and corrects design fabrication drawings to ensure proper engineering techniques and required specifications are utilized.
- Develops, releases, and maintains documentation in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
- Reviews, writes, and edits reports such as evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, etc., to provide recommendations, conclusions, and other data.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Engineering (ABET required) with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET required) with 2-4 years of relevant experience, both in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.

Schedule
Full-time position with occasional travel of up to 15%.
