Job: Mechanical Engineering Intern - Mission Critical Location: Lenexa, KS Build Your Future With GBA GBA, a professional, full service architectural and engineering firm is seeking a student to join their team as a Mechanical/Electrical intern in our Mission Critical group in our Lenexa, Kansas office. This group specializes in the Mission Critical industry and serves many of the top Information Technology companies as an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, and project managers. Summer interns will work alongside engineers and architects on the design of mechanical/electrical systems for data centers, telecommunications, and industrial facilities under the direction of GBA's senior staff. GBA offers the opportunity to work on a large variety of project types from start to finish, in a collaborative team environment. What You'll Do Preparing construction documents for various electrical and mechanical systems.Review of shop drawings and RFI’sVerification of permitting and code requirementsFacility evaluations and engineering studiesTrouble shooting and commissioningOther duties as assigned What You'll Bring: Pursuing BS in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical EngineeringProficiency in Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, OutlookMust have completed at least 2 years of their educationMust have a working knowledge of AutoCADStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenInterest working in a collaborative team environmentPrevious internships are a plus Join Our Team If you’re a motivated engineering student who takes pride in contributing to safe, high-quality projects, we’d love to hear from you.
