The Buildings Group at GBA is welcoming engineering students to join our team as interns for Life Sciences Group in Lenexa, KS. Life Sciences serves many of the world's top 20 bio-pharma companies. Our Life Science group is a collaborative team of engineers and architects focused on the design of mechanical and electrical systems within the bio-pharma industry. Life Sciences offers the opportunity to work within an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, project managers, and construction managers. What You'll Do Prepare construction documents for various systemsReview shop drawings and RFIsVerify permitting and code requirementsConduct facility evaluations and engineering studiesAssist with troubleshooting and commissioningPerform other fun duties as assigned What You Bring Pursuing BS or MS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or other related field from accredited programExperience with AutoCAD, Revit and Excel software is preferred2.7 GPA strongly preferredFinished at least two years of schoolPrior internship and/or related experience is a plusInvolvement in campus, community, and other volunteer activities and/or organizationsStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenExcellent problem solving and analytical skills Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, climb, and work on active construction sites for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 25 poundsComfort working at heights using ladders, scaffolds, or stairs Join Our Team If you’re a motivated engineering student who takes pride in contributing to safe, high-quality projects, we’d love to hear from you.
