Mechanical Engineer III Minneapolis

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise for mechanical design
• Oversight of the development of drawing packages
• Estimating and functions for projects involving pipelines, process sites, and other energy industry related facilities
• Technical assistance to Engineering and Operations Departments to resolve operating problems or establish best operating practices
• Initiative to determine best paths forward for effective project execution
• Completion of projects using engineering principles and techniques
• Read and interpret P&ID, technical drawings, schematics, equipment specifications, industry codes, and technical reports
• Development of design requirements for projects
• Confer with other engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
• Perform basic modifications to computer aided design (CAD) and drafting functions to assist in completion of project deliverables
• Design analyses, engineering calculations, and writing technical reports
• Developing drawing packages suitable for project construction
• Providing direction to more junior personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, from an accredited university
• 3+ years of working experience required
• EIT required, PE preferred
• Knowledge of materials and material specifications
• Ability to perform design analyses, engineering calculations, and write technical reports
• Competency with Microsoft office suite (word, excel, outlook, etc.)

Position Requirements

• Education, Certifications/Licenses, Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, from an accredited university 3+ years of working experience required. EIT required, PE preferred

• The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,200 - $110,200.
