Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- Five years of professional engineering experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures and other internal engineering standards and systems
- Strong knowledge of engineering systems
- Strong knowledge of company and competitor’s products and technical abilities of suppliers
- Well-developed understanding of company processes and procedures including, but not limited to new product development process
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written communication skills necessary for technical report writing
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Requirements
- Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to concept analysis, business case, product development, pre-production and post launch steps
- Recommends methods of manufacture during the design of new products and design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies
- Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve more complex problems
- Evaluates product failures using advanced engineering techniques
- Compiles and analyzes test results; formulates conclusions and makes appropriate recommendations
- Partners with project management, business units, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, etc.
- Develops engineering test standards where applicable
