Key Responsibilities
- Works assigned tasks to meet schedule and may coordinate details with other departments.
- Recognizes problems which are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the area.
- May implement process improvements on a project level.
- Performs work which involves the use of conventional engineering practices.
- Writes and performs component tests with some supervision.
Qualifications
- 4 Year Bachelors BS degree+ 1 Year of experience or MSInternational - Bachelors BS/University degree equivalent by Country AND 1 year of experience or Masters
Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations (internal only).
- Basic technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.).
- Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting.
- Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with customers.
- May direct or lead work of technicians, detailers and designers.
- Basic ability to understand and interpret industry and Woodward technical standards including quality system standards and PLC process
- Basic use and understanding of FEA tools, basic use of DFSS tools and methodologies;
- Basic knowledge of Engineering quality systems (PLC, engineering change, configuration management).
- Assists with the development of department and organization procedures.
- Basic understanding of component function and testing.
- Learning manufacturing processes, drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures
- Effective time management skills.
Senior Qualifications
- 4 Year Bachelors BS degree AND 4+ years equivalent experienceInternational - Bachelors BS/University degree equivalent by Country AND 4+ years equivalent experience
Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations (internal, customers and management).
- Solid technical writing skills(EARS, procedures, reports, etc.).
- Solid ability to compute steady state results.
- Competent use and understanding of FEA tools, basic use of DFSS tools and methodologies;
- Competent knowledge of Engineering quality systems (PLC, engineering change, configuration management).
- Working knowledge of standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards into designs.
- May guide level 1 and 2 Engineers.
- May direct or lead work of technicians, detailers and designers.
- May independently write and perform component tests.
- May assist with development of department and organization procedures.
- Complete understanding of component function and testing requirements.
- Understands manufacturing processes, drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures and how they impact designs
