Mechanical Engineer II
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering, procurement, and implementation of thermal-fluid systems for existing power plants, including legacy Westinghouse designs.
- Designing equipment sizing and specifications, developing procurement packages, incorporating supplier data, and coordinating integrated engineering activities.
- Engaging in engineering design development, conducting site walkdowns, interpreting design drawings, managing design changes, and responding to support requests.
- Collecting and compiling data for design development, preparing technical summaries, and writing project reports.
- Assisting with proposal preparation, labor and material estimates, and design package development.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 3-6 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering design codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ASHRAE, and HEI
- Understanding of the impact of other disciplines' drawings on design, including electrical, civil, and structural
- A willingness to pursue EIT/FE certifications
- Able to maintain unescorted access to power plants
- Ability to travel

Qualifications
Pay
Annually Paid: The base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
About the Role
The Mechanical Engineer II will report to the Lead Engineer for Co-Generation and Advanced BOP Mechanical & Chemical Process Engineering, serving as an individual contributor and subject matter expert. This role requires proficiency in established standards and knowledge bases from years of experience in a particular area, working independently.
