What You Will Do
Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure the overall design and production goals are met.
Use experience and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application for design documentation and fabrication.
Work within a multi-disciplined team of engineers with responsibilities ranging from aerostructure design, housing design, electronics equipment packaging, circuit card assemblies, interconnects, and thermal management.
Work closely with the Integrated Program Team Lead (IPTL), Program Management (PM), Supply Chain, and other external personnel.
Support program related travel to external suppliers and other Raytheon facilities.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree and a minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant experience to include the following:
- Experience with PTC CREO Parametric or other mechanical CAD design tools.
- Experience with utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.
- Experience working with internal and/or external suppliers.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate program status, issues and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including senior leadership, customers, and major subcontractors.
- Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.
- Knowledge of statistical concepts and how to apply them to development and production processes.
- Knowledge of reading and creating mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Production support including the use of basic measurement tools.
- Experience in the support of design and integration of mechanical products and assemblies.
- Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Knowledge of Mechanical CAD design and electronic design.
- Ability to travel between North Texas sites and nationwide suppliers.
