About the role

The role involves supporting existing Airborne Radar production programs, performing root cause investigations, resolving obsolescence issues, engaging with suppliers, and collaborating with a multi-disciplined team on mechanical housing design, electronics equipment packaging, circuit card assemblies, interconnects, and thermal management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high quality and on-time delivery to warfighters at the manufacturing facility in McKinney, TX.
  • Perform root cause investigations and develop quick-turn technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and resolve obsolescence issues through analysis, validation testing, and implementation.
  • Engage with suppliers on quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Travel periodically to external suppliers and other Raytheon facilities (typically not exceeding 10%).
  • Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with leadership and supply chain to ensure design objectives are met.
  • Create and deliver presentations with clear and concise technical content.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant experience, to include any combination of the following:
  • Experience with the design, manufacturing, and integration of mechanical assemblies, electronics packaging, and/or test equipment for military and/or aerospace applications.
  • Experience with GD&T and ASME drawing standards.
  • Experience with PTC CREO Parametric or other mechanical CAD design tools.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and the interrelationship of the components therein.
  • Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.
  • Knowledge of mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with production support including the use of basic measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing and validation.

Qualifications

  • An existing Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and layout collaboration experience.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.

This role is an Onsite position.
