Responsibilities
- Working under limited supervision, the EVA Equipment Sustaining Engineer will perform planning and analysis;
- Support hardware fabrication, refurbishment and testing;
- Develop documentation;
- Provide real-time input during EVA operations in support of the International Space Station (ISS) program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field from an accredited engineering school and 5+ years direct experience;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Prior experience with NASA human space flight operations and/or design of space flight equipment;
- Prior experience performing sustaining engineering or maintenance;
- Prior experience designing or maintaining textile products;
Requirements
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position;
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
