Mechanical Engineer II
About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer II in our Nashville office, you will exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria. You will interpret and utilize information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
Responsibilities
- Exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria.
- Interpret and utilize information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
- Design HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
- Develop and maintain detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and project teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other building components.
- Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including but not limited to design calculations, material lists, and construction details.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSAE) or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
- 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective working individually and within team environments.
Skills
- Proficiency in engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
