About the Role

The Mechanical Engineer I ensures mechanical design standards and tools are used to deliver accurate and timely 3D and 2D drawings, optimizing sales, marketing, manufacturing, and profitability in alignment with Fulton’s values. This role operates under the general direction of Project Engineers and the Engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure accurate drawings are completed on schedule.
  • Perform CAD work, including 3D and 2D drawings for custom engineered systems, custom equipment, and standard mechanical drawing updates.
  • Maintain all CAD data in a central database (Autodesk Vault) using proper folder structure and naming policies.
  • Create intelligent models and drawing tools to reduce drawing and document creation time.
  • Leverage software capabilities to interface with business systems and external tools, optimizing daily operations.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal and external customers.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred).
  • Autodesk Inventor experience preferred (Solidworks experience acceptable).
  • Programming experience in any language (e.g., C, Visual Basic) is a plus.
  • Experience in 3D Printing is a plus.
