Mechanical Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures or develop solid models to predict stress and structural performance.
• Conduct FEA of complex structures to determine mechanical shock survivability in a shipboard environment.
• Develop mechanical shock test procedures.
• Assist the Design Team with material selection using proper commercial and/or Military Specifications.
• Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
• Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purpose of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
• Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines: Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces. Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20’ – 25’) within the submarine.
• At least Zero (0) to Two (2) years business experience in:

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. The salary range for this position is USD $69,000.00/Yr. - USD $72,000/Yr.
