Mechanical Engineer I (84097)
Responsibilities
Researches and analyzes data, design proposals and specifications to determine feasibility of design or application.
Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, machines, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications.
Collaborates with contractors and personnel related to fabrication, installation and maintenance activities for assigned projects.
Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
Evaluates existing installations and recommends design modifications to improve equipment performance and eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Requirements
- BSME from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with emphasis on design and fabrication of mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems.
- Experience with PID loop controllers, PLC’s and other plant control and monitoring equipment a must.
- AutoCAD and Microsoft Office fluency also required.
- Familiarity with standard engineering equations and calculations.
