About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support quality engineering deliverables for the U.S. Navy, MSC, and USCG. They will design, analyze, and deliver mechanical systems for marine vessels. Excellent people skills, HVAC experience, and an understanding of the U.S. Navy, MSC, and USCG ship systems are required.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve engineering and technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the team and lead/designer engineers as needed.
  • Perform engineering analysis using various tools.
  • Quality assurance of all engineering deliverables.
  • Client-facing work.
  • Develop drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Aid the Project Manager in business development and customer relations.
  • Expect 10% domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience with U.S. Navy, USCG, or MSC vessels.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and preparing engineering calculations.
  • Existing knowledge and understanding of industry practices and requirements.
  • Technology-focused with a good background in implementing technology into business processes.
  • Proven ability to deliver mechanical designs for NAVSEA preferred.
  • Ability to interface with clients.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Must be able to maintain or obtain a Secret level security clearance.
