Mechanical Engineer - Early Career

As a Mechanical Engineer at our company, you’ll be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team focused on evaluating and designing power systems for power-generating facilities. Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate mechanical engineering with electrical, civil, and other specialties.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality with minimal oversight.
• Produce high-quality, error-free engineering documents that meet industry codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Stay current with the latest industry standards and safety practices, especially those relevant to the nuclear sector.
• Apply knowledge to deliver innovative, compliant solutions that directly support client needs.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and professional collaboration.
• Conduct site visits to walk down plant systems and structures, interface with client personnel, and observe engineering solutions in action.
• Prepare mechanical calculations and comprehensive design documentation.
• Participate in prototyping and testing as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Available to start within the next 1–2 months.
• Thermal-hydraulic and design modification experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparing mechanical calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, presenting design proposals, and documenting design specifications.
• Knowledge of industry standards and willingness to participate in prototyping and testing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in teams.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks.
• Some roles may require U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.

Pay

The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000.00–$99,600.00. Salary is determined by role, level, experience, and location. Individual pay within this range will be based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
