Founded in 2023, Delta E focuses on collaborative partnerships with building owners and design and construction teams, emphasizing technical expertise, sustainability, and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise in mechanical and HVAC design to create effective and sustainable solutions, focusing on energy efficiency and compliance with local codes and policies.
  • Lead mechanical design for various project types, including design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.
  • Design HVAC systems, perform load calculations, equipment sizing/selection, and layout.
  • Communicate system strengths and weaknesses to clients and stakeholders through presentations.
  • Develop project specifications and conduct site evaluations.
  • Attend meetings with clients and project teams.
  • Create contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
  • Review project submittals for product data and shop drawings, respond to Request for Information (RFIs), and engage with contractors to find creative solutions during Construction Administration.
  • Establish design standards and criteria for projects, prepare calculations, reports, and specifications.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.
  • Engage in the development of tools and templates.
  • Contribute to the growth of the mechanical studio.
  • Manage projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to quality control processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products.
  • 5+ years’ experience modeling systems & compiling construction documents in Revit.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Seattle and WA building codes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • FE/EIT or PE license is preferred.
  • LEED AP is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability in communication, project management, and quality control skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a startup environment.
  • Client relationship skills.

Pay

$90,000 – $125,000 per year (Seattle, US)
