Mechanical Engineer Co-Op (Summer 2027)

Saab, Inc. is in search of a motivated, enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering student who is interested in applying their studies to real-world product development through a paid Co-Op/Internship opportunity for Summer 2027 (May - August).

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the hardware development for Radar systems.
• Work with senior mechanical engineers to design and develop models and drawings for various Radar systems.
• Assist in the development of thermal and structural analysis reports.
• Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.
• Collaborate with mechanical lead for task planning and scheduling of own activities.

Skills

• Familiarity with Solidworks is desired.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Prior Co-Op experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Pay

• Compensation Range: $20.27-$22.30/hr
• In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.
