Mechanical Engineer
About the Role
As a Mechanical Piping Engineer you will provide various technical services and engineering support for safe and reliable solutions for piping, pipe supports, and mechanical modules in all areas of nuclear power plants. Typical work includes design and analysis activities for pipe supports and mechanical modules in new power plants and impact assessment and implementation of design change packages in operating plants. You will report to the Senior Manager, Piping And Supports and be located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA facility. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants with a focus on piping and pipe support design and analysis.
- Work in teams to resolve critical issues affecting the construction and operation of nuclear power plants.
- Develop business relationships with Westinghouse customers.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues: project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations.
Qualifications
- May 2026 - 2027 Graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Experience with Technical Design and Analysis beneficial.
- Prior Internship experience.
- Prior experience with Technical Engineering Projects or Research.
- Engineering in Training Certification or desire to obtain with long-term goal of obtaining P.E.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
