Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a personable and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplined design team within our Charleston office. The position will be within our Infrastructure division.

Responsibilities

• Supervise projects to ensure they meet commitments related to time, quality, and communication.
• Work directly with clients to establish project schedules and set expectations.
• Aid in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
• Collaborate and assist with training/mentoring of mechanical engineering staff in the execution of specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion of projects.
• Aid in maintaining client base through various business development efforts.
• Visit construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per contract documents.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical technical work for accuracy.
• Work well independently and as part of an experienced team.
• Deal directly with clients/owners to assist with determining specific project needs.
• Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.

Qualifications

• P.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and detailed understanding of Revit is a plus
• 4+ years of design/engineering consulting experience required
