Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer or Senior Designer to support a small team during peak workload periods. This role involves preparing and maintaining Bills of Material and manufacturing process specifications using ERP systems, collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to create or modify detailed designs with SolidWorks, and producing clear documentation for fabrication and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Material and manufacturing process specifications using ERP systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to create or modify detailed designs with SolidWorks.
• Produce clear documentation for fabrication and assembly.
• Resolve design issues with production staff.
• Assist in generating cost estimates for designing and manufacturing products.
• Work both on-site and off-site, with some on-site hours required.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-high-school training or experience in mechanical drafting.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks.
• Two years of drafting experience with electro-mechanical components.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn new software and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety gear requirements include safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Knowledge of industry standards.
• National career readiness certificate.
