Mechanical Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Designing mechanical material handling systems, tooling and components.
• Experience with: Machine bases, pneumatics, sensors, actuators, bearings, pumps, water-systems
• Proven ability to work with a team of Engineers and independently on various projects
• Knowledge of production techniques including Machining, Fabricating, Welding, Assembly, 3D printing
• Ability to generate and update technical drawings using standard design conventions, tolerance, and technical drawing standards as required.
• Collaborate with Radyne Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.
• Strong independent judgment required.
• Manage time to meet budget requirement.
• Detail and check part drawings and create/maintain BOM’s.
• Absorb and troubleshoot systems if needed.
• Work under the guidance of the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager.

Job Requirements

• BS in Engineering - emphasis on mechanical
• Proficiency in Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling
• Knowledge of screws, threads, materials, strength of materials, correct fit, and a wide knowledge of various fabrication techniques
• Good technical writing and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of production techniques including Machining, Fabricating, Welding, Assembly (a plus)
• Robotics Experience (a plus)
• Experience with Adept PDM and AutoCAD (a plus)
