Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate unique situations and provide recommendations based on engineering principles and data analysis
- Create, modify, review, and approve engineering drawings while maintaining accurate document control
- Conduct mechanical system analysis and support product and process development
- Prototype new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison between departments
- Manage assigned projects, including scheduling and organization of deliverables
- Ensure all engineering work meets customer specifications and company standards
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety/environmental requirements
Job Duties
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks to develop and update designs
- Support lab and manufacturing environments with prototyping and testing activities
- Apply fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to daily tasks
- Communicate technical information clearly across teams and leadership
- Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters to resolve technical challenges
- Escalate complex issues beyond scope to appropriate leadership
Education And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience
- 2 years of previous experience in mechanical engineering or mechanical design
- Required: Candidate must be based in Wichita, KS or the surrounding area
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and work independently
- Demonstrated leadership ability and teamwork mindset
