Responsibilities
- Prepare specifications for purchased components and (sub) systems.
- Prepare design proposals for new equipment and modifications to current designs.
- Work with drafters, designers and other engineers, as assigned, to lead or participate in team efforts.
- Absorb support in resolving problems arising in the shop during the manufacturing process.
- Accomplish all assigned tasks within the constraints of customer requirements, cost effectiveness and Texas Oil Tools design standards.
- Prepare engineering design documentation and procedures for engineering processes, equipment operation and performance testing.
- Maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside the organization acting on technical matters pertaining to the field.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
- Working knowledge of Coiled Tubing Pressure Control Equipment.
- Strong computer skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of one year experience in the design and development of oil and gas service equipment and/or pressure control equipment preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks or comparable CAD system.
- Working knowledge of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
